Hanging Out with the Most High God is the story of Billy Lymon, a born-again believer, who is gay, and, in 1974, when he is 19, develops a relationship with God, and God talks to him and sends him around the country – first to New York City. It is there that he learns he can trust the voice he hears in his head. And because he can trust this voice, he asks it to explain why he is gay. He waits for his answer, while he abstains, and after several years of abstaining, God answers him, and its more than he expects. Billy learns that he is loved just the way he is. And that knowing God is a lot of fun.
